Police have captured and arrested 11 men involved in a gang fight in Samut Prakan on Sunday, which spilled into two hospitals, causing destruction and damage, and resulting in the death of one and injuries to others.
The arrests were announced by Deputy Commander of Samut Prakan Provincial Police, Pol Col Panlop Aramla, who said the police used CCTV images, photos taken of the riots by bystanders, and statements from two injured men to find the perpetrators.
The brawl, involving two rival gangs, began at a house in tambon Bang Ya Phraek before spilling into two hospitals – Vibharam Chaiprakarn Hospital and Muangsamut Hospital.
Pol Col Aramla said the men damaged vital medical equipment at both hospitals, in addition to breaking windows, the glass on doors, and causing fear among those present at the time.
One of the gangs had entered Vibharam Hospital to see their friend who was stabbed in the right side of his chest during the initial fight at tambon Bang Ya Phraek.

Upon arrival at the hospital, they discovered the 22-year-old has passed away, leading to the gang rampaging through the hospital’s emergency ward, smashing and breaking everything in sight.
The group of around 20 then learned that members of the rival gang were injured in the nearby Muangsamut Hospital and headed there on motorbikes carrying various items, including pieces of wood and floor mops.
When they arrived at the second hospital, the group found members of the rival gang and began brawling again before feeling when the police arrived.
The investigation is continuing, and police said they expect to make further arrests.
