With two immigration offices now serving the population of Bangkok, confusion reigns as to where foreigners should go to complete their applications.
Recently, Bangkok Immigration opened a second, temporary, office in Muang Thong Thani to help ease congestion. However, many people remain confused about exactly which services are offered there and whether they should go to Chaengwattana or the new offices.
According to the latest updates, 90-day reporting has now moved back to the Government Complex in Chaengwattana.
The temporary offices in Muang Thong Thani will now serve all cases for the following applications:
- Exemption visas (90 days, 30 days, 14 days)
- Visa on arrival
- Courtesy visa
- Lost passports
- Lost departure cards (TM.6)
- Transit visas
These services are now unavailable at Chaengwattana and applicants should go directly to Muang Thong Thani. All other services remain at the Government Complex in Chaengwattana.
