The popular tourist island of Koh Lipe will close down indefinitely, starting from tomorrow, March 28th.
Announced by Mr. Wiranan Pengjunphu, Governor of Saturn Province, of which Koh Lipe is within, the island’s closure will begin at midnight and is aimed to stop the spread of coronavirus (covid-19) in the region.
The announcement informed the public that the island will close tourism including shutting sown accommodation on the island and canceling passenger boats which bring sightseers to the paradise.
The Governor also took the time to remind the people of Saturn to be aware of fake news regarding the virus, to stay indoors when possible, and to help each other in this difficult time.
