A transgender woman is on the run from police after police discovered her longterm boyfriend stabbed to death in the room they shared together in the Muang district of Khon Kaen.
The 28-year-old, named as Thanphicha Rodnongkheng or “Mind”, is the subject of a manhunt following the issuing of an arrest warrant by the Khon Kaen Provincial Court.
Her boyfriend of seven years, 27-year-old Manop Amthao, was found with multiple stab wounds on the floor of a rented room after his relatives had contacted police because they were unable to reach him for days.
The victim had two stab wounds on the left side of his chest and a bloody knife was also found near his body in the apartment.
Police discovered he lived with the suspect, a transgender woman who had disappeared suddenly. She was spotted on a security camera carrying two black plastic bags and a shoulder bag at around 4.30 am on the day of the stabbing.
A public announcement has been made to assist police with finding Mind who is believed to still be in the Khon Kaen region.
