
The Thai Government announced 54 new coronavirus cases on Thursday along with two more deaths as the numbers decrease from yesterday’s 111 new infections.
The new cases bring the official total number of covid-19 cases to 2,423 with 67 provinces now reporting cases of the virus.
The new cases included 22 people who had previously been in contact with known covid-19 patients, eight people working in crowded places, five people who had been quarantined after returning from Indonesia, four visitors to crowded areas, four medical personnel, three people returning from overseas, and two tourists.
There are six cases which remain under investigation.
The two deaths were one 82-year-old Thai man who lived in Samut Prakan and a 74-year-old French man who lived in Chonburi with no previous medical conditions.
The total number of deaths now stands at 32, while there has been 940 recoveries.
