A market vendor has been trending on Twitter after photos were uploaded of him selling items that allegedly came from a community sharing pantry.
The photos, uploaded by Twitter account Red Skull, show items laid out from a vendor at Mill Market in Rangsit, Pathum Thani, that include items with the markings from a sharing pantry.
Sharing pantries have been set up around the country with citizens using them to donate food and other items to the less fortunate in their community.
The cupboards allow people to take whatever they need from the shelves that have been stocked by good citizens and foreigners.
However, they have also come under fire as incidents of greed, people fighting, and threats made towards people who were stocking the shelves prompted Prime Minister Prayut to call for people to only take what they need from the initiative.
This latest incident has now reignited the debate about whether the pantries are a good idea and whether there should be a better system in place to donate items to needy people.
