A young pregnant woman was among five people arrested following a drugs raid at a rented house in the Thepha district of Songkhla on Saturday.
Officials raided the house following a tip-off that it was used as a hub to sell crystal meth and speed pills to young people in the local area and for drug use.
Upon arrival, the team of police and volunteers discovered five people using drugs in the house, one of whom was carrying a baby and another who was heavily pregnant.
Officials released the names of four of the five people – 26-year-old Palin Saengthawee (the owner of the house), 24-year-old Rohanee Tiewlor, 23-year-old Hafeesha Musoyaena, and 26-year-old Natthanicha Ongyim.
A teenage boy was also present at the scene, but his name is withheld due to his young age.
The owner of the property, Ms. Saengthawee, was holding a five-month-old baby when the raid happened. She informed officials that her husband was currently serving time in prison for a drug-related offense.
Ms. Tiewlor, who is eight months pregnant, also informed police her husband is serving time in jail for a drug conviction.
All five admitted to regularly using drugs at the property. They were brought to the local police station, where they will be charged with multiple offenses.
