Medical staff and patients at Vachira Hospital in Phuket, which is currently on lockdown, are at risk of contracting covid-19 after a beverage seller around the facility has tested positive for the infection.
The woman announced her positive result on Facebook, writing a post saying:
“I have no fever or headache, only a slight runny nose, and light coughing. I guess I’m a super spreader who shows no symptoms but can possibly and unknowingly spread the virus to anyone.”
She also apologized for any trouble she has caused and stated that she is worried any medical staff she has come into contact with may have unknowingly been passed the virus.
She requested that anyone who has made contact with her since March 15th to quarantine themselves and get tested for coronavirus immediately.
Her announcement follows news earlier today of a female patient at Bang Len Hospital testing positive for covid-19, leading to the closure of the facility for one month.
