All convenience stores across the province of Nonthaburi must close from 11 pm until 5 am throughout the month of April.
An order issued by the Governor of Nonthaburi mentioned the new rules along with several other orders including the closure of businesses and public venues.
The closures will begin on April 1st and be effective until at least April 30th.
The announcement follows the complete shut down of Phuket and it is expected that many other Thai provinces will follow suit over the coming days.
The Nonthaburi Governor reminded people to wear a mask when entering any convenience store and that people who were not wearing masks will be denied entry and service.
