Authorities caught an alleged serial rapist and sex offender on July 23rd, a day after assaulting a woman near Lumphini Park, Bangkok.
Police officers from Thung Maha Mek station caught Nadech Sitmanomai, the sexual predator indicted of sex-related charges, at a Lotus Express store in the Thung Khru district.
According to authorities, the arrested suspect had confessed to the crimes accused against him.
Based on the officials’ initial investigation, Sitmanomai will face charges of murder and kidnapping relating to a case that took place earlier this week.
The incident involved the suspect abducting a woman and forcing her into his van, where he then sexually assaulted the victim.

The murder charges presented before the suspect were due to his reckless driving, which resulted in the victim’s boyfriend’s death.
The police officials tracked Sitmanomai through the vehicle he used in conducting the crime.
The van was registered to a factory in Samut Prakan. From there, the authorities were able to arrest Sitmanomai with the help of the company.
Sitmanomai’s employer decried that they weren’t aware of the man’s actions.
The streets near Lumphini park’s vicinity are notoriously known for being a cruising spot of Thai sex workers.
According to several sex workers, the victim’s abduction case wasn’t the first time, citing that it had happened before.
