Two more covid-19 cases in state quarantine

There has been an additional two cases of coronavirus reported in Thailand today, both of which were found in people who had recently returned from abroad. No new deaths were announced.

Both cases were asymptomatic and had returned recently from Russia and Kuwait.

The first case was a 22-year-old student who was in state quarantine in Chonburi province and tested positive for the virus on Thursday after arriving on Monday.

The second case was a 39-year-old male factory worker who was quarantined in Bangkok. He had arrived in Thailand on May 24th and initially tested negative for the infection before returning a positive result on Thursday.

The total number of coronavirus cases in Thailand is now at 3,104 while the death toll remains at 58. No local transmissions have been reported for 12 days now.

Meanwhile, the number of recoveries remains at 2,971 with 75 people still in hospitals being treated for covid-19.
