Thailand has reported only one new case of coronavirus for the second day running as the official figures suggest the spread of infections has drastically subsided.
However, as the country has one of the lowest testing rates in the world it is likely that the true number of covid-19 cases in Thailand is much higher.
The latest case was from a Thai masseuse who had recently returned on a repatriation flight from Russia.
The 27-year-old woman, from Buriram, was quarantined in Samut Prakan after arriving at Suvarnabhumi airport in Bangkok on Sunday.
There was also one new death announced, taking the death total up to 55.
The deceased was an Australian man, aged 69, who worked in a hotel in Phangna when he fell ill in late March. He was admitted to a hospital in Phuket before passing away on Tuesday.
There have also been an additional 14 recoveries from coronavirus over the past 24 hours with the total number of recoveries standing at 2,761 representing a 92.37 percent recovery rate.
