There were no new cases of coronavirus reported by the Thai Government today as the second phase of easing lockdown restrictions comes into effect tomorrow.
This is the second time in the past week that no new covid-19 cases were reported by the Center for Covid-19 Situation Administration, with no cases also reported on Wednesday.
The timing of the drop in cases to zero coincides perfectly with the government’s plan to further ease restrictions starting from tomorrow by allowing malls and other businesses to reopen.
Gyms, libraries, museums, galleries, beauty clinics, large retail stores, and shops located within department stores are among those that may also reopen from Sunday.
The night curfew will also be reduced by one hour, starting at 11 pm instead of 10 pm. However, it will still be enforced until 4 am.
There were also no new deaths announced today and one more recovered patient has been released from the hospital.
The total number of covid-19 cases in Thailand remains at 3,025 with 56 deceased and 2,855 recovered.
