Another death as covid-19 cases rise in Thailand

The Thai government pleaded for people to stay at home as they announced another 109 coronavirus cases included one death on Saturday, March 28th.

The figures released by the Public Health Ministry bring the total number of covid-19 cases in Thailand up to 1,245 including 6 fatalities.

The latest figures come after 91 new coronavirus cases were announced on Friday with a total of 515 cases reported in Bangkok, making it the most affected area of the country.

Nonthaburi has recorded 58 cases, while Phuket is the third-worst hit area in Thailand with 42 cases.

The latest death is reported to be a 55-year-old diabetic woman.

The government once again relayed the importance of ceasing social activities to try and halt the spread of the virus. They warned that a 24-hour curfew would be imposed if the plea was ignored.
