Thailand’s tourism industry has collaborated with various private entities based in Chonburi to organize a five-month-long tourism-boosting event in Pattaya City.

The event, aptly named “TAT Hot Deal @Pattaya,” is a conjoined effort between the Tourism Association of Thailand (TAT) and various establishments under the Eastern Region Hotel Association, Chonburi Tourist Attractions Association, and Pattaya City Spa Club.

E-commerce giant Shopee will be advising the partner organizations of the said event.

TAT Pattaya Office Director Pinnart Charoenphol stated:

“More than 100 hotels, spas, restaurants, and entertainment venues in Pattaya will offer tourists up to 50 percent discount.”

To promote the event, Shopee will offer 8,000 vouchers from participating businesses at a 50 percent discount from July 1st to 15th. The TAT official added:

“This campaign aims to boost tourism in Pattaya after the covid-19 lockdown was lifted, as well as restore tourists’ confidence in Chon Buri’s capability to control the outbreak for the safety of both residents and visitors.”

Pattaya Mayor Sonthaya Khunpluem reaffirmed that the city had prepared measures to prevent the resurgence of covid-19 in the district.

The city mayor said:

“Business operators must follow the Centre for Covid-19 Situation Administration guidelines, while social distancing must be maintained at public attractions such as Pattaya Beach, Jomtien Beach, South Pattaya Walking Street, and the floating market.”
